Vasu, a common man from Tamil Nadu, joins the BSF with the hope of living a better life. He one day falls in love with Khanoum, whom he names Kajal, without actually knowing she's from Pakistan. Meanwhile, riots break out in Kashmir, forcing all Pakistanis including Kajal to go back to Pakistan. But: hurdles break in. Vasu, despite of knowing he can be in danger, risks his life to bring Kajal back to her home and unfortunately gets caught in an illegal camp run by Pakistani soldiers. Vasu, now realizing that his duty is not only to protect Kajal but his fellow soldiers, starts to understand his true love: for Kajal and for his nation. He decides to return and protect his love.
